9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

  • APRIL James: Dwight Ball (Library)
James was a very practical man, and addressed issues where theology meets life. His letter was written around 40 A.D. and was addressed to the diaspora, Jews who had been scattered. Most of those who read or heard the letter grew up in the culture and teaching of Old Testament Law. Too often they saw God’s blessings and favor as a result of one’s obedience; the greater the effort the greater the reward. Doing good works was a duty. James brings a great message of joy and teaches how we can express our gratitude to God through our faith, and by pouring out generosity and works in response to God’s favor and love for us.

  • MAY - JUNE — Building Bridges with the Gospel: Joshua Spencer (Library)
Building Bridges with the Gospel explores how to equip believers for meaningful outreach through creating redemptive relationships, sharing the gospel verbally, and building a biblical missionary mindset for all Christians.

  • Hebrews - Ernie Hodges / Adam King (Room 5A)
Hebrews will explore how Christ fulfilled the Old Covenant and the superiority of the New Covenant in which Christians now live.

11:00 am - 12:00 p.m.

  • Profiles of the Apostles - Brian Wheeler (Library)
In this class we will examine those called as apostles in the Scriptures. We will journey together to explore the biblical accounts as well as the history, legend, and traditions of those called to be apostles in the Bible. What did they do after the ascension of Jesus? Where did they go? How did they die? What was their ministry? See how God used the Roman Empire, Greek culture, and Jewish dispersion to impact the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through these men.

  • Women Who Shaped the World - Renate Reiner (Room 3)
We will take a close look at the women God chose to bring about a nation, conquer a land, lead a people, walk with Jesus, and build a church. Join us as we study those who had a profound impact on shaping the world.
